Glehnia littoralis is sweet, slightly bitter and slightly cold in nature. It belongs to the lung and stomach meridians. Its medicinal part is the root. The main effects of Radix Glehniae are nourishing yin and clearing lung, benefiting stomach and generating body fluid. At the same time, it can treat lung yin deficiency syndrome, such as dry cough, less phlegm, hemoptysis, dry throat and hoarseness. The effect of Radix Glehniae is stronger than that of Radix Glehniae. Yiwei Shengjin can treat stomach yin deficiency syndrome, such as dry mouth with excessive drinking, hunger without appetite, dry stool, tongue coating peeling or red tongue with less coating, less body fluid, stomachache, retching and so on. It can also replenish qi and dissipate phlegm, and treat phlegm sticky and difficult to cough up. Note that the sea cucumber can not be used with Veratrum, they are the opposite.
